_Tristania_ Posted August 14, 2006 Share Posted August 14, 2006 Una band maestosa, grintosa, potente proprio come la voce della bravissima cantante Floor Jansen che a parer mio è la cantante donna migliore nell'ambito metal(certo Tarja Turunen, Simone Simons, Sharon den Adel, vibeke stane hanno delle belle voci ma Floor "ti sbatte al muro") una estensione davvero fenomenale tra i cd vi consiglio "Dechiper", "Invisible Circles" e "Remagine"... per quanto riguarda le canzoni "FAce your Demons", "Boundaries are Open", "The Key", "Being Everyone" eccetera eccetera eccetra eccetera... Parliamo pur sempre di donne con voci e studi differenti... sarebbe come dire che una cantante che esegue brani per gruppi metal, possa competere in bravura con cantanti liriche o d'opera... son generi differenti e hanno sviluppato la voce per diversi ambiti. Anyway, gli AF mi piacciono (e Decipher è il loro album che preferisco), ma non li ho mai seguiti tantissimo... anche perché son sempre stata più presa da Nightwish, Theatre Of Tragedy e Tristania Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Poi non so se intendevi dire qualcos'altro !! A volte sono molto tardo a comprendere ! Sui Nightwish, Theatre of Tragedy e Tristania ti posso davvero dire che sei una bongustaia !!! In genere queste differenze, sono del tipo s. drammatico, s. leggero e s. lirico... definire una voce più particolare di un'altra, è un pò difficile a mio avviso Tarja Turunen è un soprano drammatico ad esempio, Sharon Den Adel è più sul soprano leggero, Floor Jansen sinceramente non ricordo, ma dovrebbe essere soprano lirico... insomma, dipende Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And then guitars kick in. And then there comes a really unknown voice. "When I first heard it I was WTF? Am I listening the wrong album?" But then I realised that it's Sander. But his voice is efected. Don't think that it's bad, it's just makes the song heavy. Floor sings in her rocky voice. The spooky orchestra and heavy guitars makes a really great harmony. There's a little piano part in the middle. And then Floor goes on. It has a little choir part too. Evoke - The song starts with an amazing operatic vocal of Floor. And then she turns to her rocky voice. It has nothing to do "Wish I Had An Angel". The song has a catchy chorus. (It's not cheesy, it's just keep turning in your mind-don't think that this song is bad) This song has a slow part in it's middle part. Floor is singing like an angel. Then a guitar&keyboard part kicks in. It's a quite long part. After choirs keep blastring your ears. The song finishes with the catchy chorus. Transitory - The songs melody is a little spooky. There some "crazy" keyboard melodies between the guitars. The song is quite heavy and hard to listen. There is a choir saying in a very high note "aaah". Great song!Energize Me - This is a really good choice for the first single. It catches you immeditely! At the start Floor's voice enchantes you. And then at the chorus guitars kicking in. There's also a guitar solo in the middle but it's quite short There is no brutal vocals. The song makes you feel good things Equally Destructive - The guitars are heavy in this song. There is a "WT-like" choir under some parts. Floor is singing with choir in some slow parts. The guitars are just amazing! The solo is great! No grunts but the song rocks itself! This song can be a single in the future! At the end Floor is showing her versatile voice.Withering Time - The song starts with a choir. Floor makes operatic vocals. The choir is just amazing and very catchy! This song rocks in every way one of the best AF songs. Sander is at his best! He do some scream vocals this time. The song has classical AF "arabic" themes. There is a slow part Floor singing and some whispers at the background. And then Sander, orchestra and guitars comes in. Really heavy part, a good part for Floor to headbang! The song finishes with the choir chorus.De-Energized - The song starts in a really different way. It's like a war movie soundtrack. A quite different experience. Guitars rule this song. They are at the highest notes. Sander's vocals are starting the song. Floor uses her rocky voice. And she sings like "Face Your Demons" way. Maybe just because the song itself is so devilish. In the middle there a high spooky choir. You feel like you have to escape from something. There a bass part after the choir. The guitars and orchestra part is amazing. Great song!!!!!Cry With A Smile - The song starts with orchestra and guitars. And then a really cute piano part is coming. Floor is singing and she is great. You feel a pain in your heart There some acoustic guitars. The chorus has guitars and orchestra. It's a quite different ballad. The ups and downs are great as usual =) Envision - Catchy song. It looks like its comes from Remagine era. There is a Muse-like part in the middle. Piano and guitars. (Don't thing it's bad. I love Muse and that part fits the song great!) There is no grunts. Who I Am - The intro is amazing. There are some sound efects. Doro's voice coming that from her throat and Floor's nightingale vocals are fits the song great. Choirs are amazing. And the way that sing "who i am" part is so great!!!!! Vocal types and arabic rythms directs the song into really different directions. And there is a really weird keyboard&guitar part in the middle. And then Doro singing. It's a sexy song. Not in bad way. The song rules!Dreamflight - The song has a beatiful enchanting intro. The orchestra grabs you and takes a flight through your dreams. It's just great! I was almost crying when I heard it first. Then acoustic guitars kicks in. Then Floor's amazing vocals welcomes you to your dreams. Then the amazing voice of Bas comes and you think that you realised that your dreams contains you prince. When electro guitars and keyboard comes you are getting ready for a fight with your demons -prince warned you, my lady-. Drums from the deep and Floor makes you calm down but the war is near cause demons kicking in. No escape my precious. Our evil man Sander () and spooky choirs makes you face your demons. An amazing guitar solo comes after. An amazing guitar solo comes after. You are fighting and facing every demon of you! But everything turns to white, an angelic voice makes you calm down and takes you away from the battle field. An amazing Floor performance. One of her bests! The high note at the end makes you forget everything at the battlefiled but the war goes on and he have to stand our ground! After Galadriel gave her hand to us, wego on fighting with our demons. Guitar and keyboards, choir goes on. And then Amazon hero Floor comes and saves the day! The song finishes with the amazing melody of acoustic guitars at the end. Welcome down the earth folks! Our 11 minute journey has finished. This is the best song I've ever heard from AF! The best!!!!! OMG it's just great!Empty Memories - The song has a quite good start. The song has really hard singing parts. Floor's voice walks through her operatic and rocky fields. Choir and the guitar at the background is amazing!!! With orchestra&guitar&choir combinations they say us that thay can do this thing really great! Floor's performance is great in this song. There are no grunts. The album has a choir outro. Non mi è dispiaciuta la dipartita di Mark, hanno abbandonato il gothic "triste" serie Epica, Tristania ( comunque molto bello eh *-* ) abbracciando un mondo musicale più originale.Dico in definitiva che il mio CD preferito ( escludendo l'ultimo non ancora uscito ) è Invisible Circles seguito da Remagine e Prison Of Desire\Dechiper(li calcolo un tutt'uno).Sono riuscito a beccare qualche sample del nuovo album e Energize Me completa, i sample sono fantastici, After Forever diverrà sicuramente il mio album preferito :P, duro e potente, Floor non solo sfoggia la sua completa versatilità ma anche un'alternanza di dolcezza e potenza.
